Assistant Principal's Message

Dear Cutchogue East families and community,

Jennifer Solomon - Assistant Principal

I am delighted to join Cutchogue East Elementary as Assistant Principal. I feel very fortunate to have been entrusted with this role and I look forward to working in partnership with Ms. Brennan, the teachers, staff, students and families of CE to support the amazing work that has been happening here. I wholeheartedly believe in our mission: All students develop academic excellence, confidence, and resiliency when we provide a warm and safe environment where diversity, interdependence and self-discovery are valued. Based on the welcome that I have received and the interactions I have had early on, Cutchogue East lives these values. I am eager to contribute to preserving and strengthening these ideals so that all members of our learning community reach their potential.

Prior to joining Cutchogue East I served as Acting Assistant Principal in Riverhead School District and Director for the summer SCOPE enrichment program in Riverhead. My career has largely been as a Spanish-English bilingual speech-language pathologist, a role that afforded me the opportunity to understand how to best support students from diverse backgrounds. Outside of school I am a mother of 4 children, now ages 17 through 24, who themselves had a range of strengths and needs as they went through school. Listening and responding to students, families and educators I’ve met on my journey, inspired me to pursue educational leadership. In addition to being Cutchogue East’s assistant principal, I am a Board of Education trustee in the district where I grew up and raised my children. Together, these roles are a reflection of my belief that strong public education is the foundation of a thriving community.

Please feel free to reach out to discuss any matter, chat, or just to say hello. My door is open and I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you.

With gratitude,

Jenn Solomon
